EN10025 SSAW spiral welded steel pipes
The SSAW steel pipe is a spiral pipe made from high-grade steel: Q235AB, X42, or L290. During the roll forming process, we keep the rolls askew in an adjustable angle from parallel with billet center line while at the same time, welding the seam continuously. The resulting pipe is available in large internal diameters. Prior to welding, the wire electrode and flux will be closely checked for any defects. Before roll forming, the steel sheet or strip has to go through flattening, trimming, and surface cleaning. After welding, the weld seam will receive ultrasonic testing and X-ray inspection.
SSAW steel pipe is one of our core products. It is widely used to transfer oil or gas in the underground pipeline. Upon request, we can apply FBE coating or 3LPE coating to the pipe surface to protect the pipe against corrosion.
